Nathan Jenks joined us as an Application Engineer in 2019 and has been supported by the company to study alongside his day job. He’s already achieved a distinction in his HNC in Electrical and Electronic Technology and is now studying towards an HND.
Nathan has recently been promoted to UK Territory Manager.

When did you join HMK? September 2019
What does your new role involve: In my new role I am becoming part of the sales leadership team with responsibility for the northern territory. This is a proactive role working to develop and expand supply into our existing customer base and working to develop new accounts.
Previous experience and areas of expertise: Prior to joining HMK, I completed an Engineering apprenticeship with a large manufacturing business, which was my first employment opportunity from college. Over the 6+ years of employment, this apprenticeship progressed into a commercial role (TSM), working closely with overseas company-owned factories and independent distributors around the world.
What are you most looking forward to in your new role: I am excited about returning to a more proactive role in an area where I have significant experience. I am also looking forward to continuing my personal development at HMK and working closely with the senior team.
Best thing about working at HMK: There’s many things that make HMK such a great place to work, but for me it’s been invaluable to have an opportunity to build, experience and work with world-class products, due to the vast product portfolio at HMK.
I am also able to build a solid technical foundation thanks to the years of experience my colleagues have, and the support and help they provide me.
Proudest achievement: Beating cancer and getting to the position I am currently at in both my personal and professional life.
Tell us an interesting fact about yourself: I have travelled to 25 different countries and my favourite country I’ve visited is Cyprus.
