Sinamics DC Master (DCM) integrates direct current technology into the modern Sinamics drive platform. New features ensure DC technology has a bright future in drive technology. The new power converter series is a scalable drive system suitable for both basic and sophisticated applications and can be expanded in terms of both functionality and performance.

Users can tailor the solution to meet various processing power requirements by choosing a standard control unit, an advanced control unit or a combination of the two.  The devices are available for two or four quadrant operation depending on the application. The rated direct current of the devices ranges from 15 to 3,000 A and can be further increased through parallel connection of the DC converters.
