Remote access made affordable with new EWON Cosy

The new eWON Cosy131 industrial VPN router makes remote access more affordable and accessible than ever before. The eWON offers easy remote access across the internet to machines at base or anywhere in the field.

The eWON 131 Cosy offers the following key features:

• Available as 3 versions, WAN for wired Ethernet connection, WiFi for connection local WiFi Access Points, and 3G for connection to 3G+ mobile phone networks
  
• Connection via Secure VPN
  
• 4 Port Ethernet switch, with configurable WAN and LAN
  
• Plug’n’route means access to devices on the machine LAN with no additional configuration
  
• USB and SD Card connectivity (planned future use)

The eWON Cosy 131 provides remote access through the secure cloud-based Talk2M service. Talk2M uses high-security outbound SSL encrypted VPN tunnels which are firewall friendly, using the HTTPS port 443 commonly used for secure transactions via web browsers. The Talk2M service offers high availability by using 9 server locations around the globe, which are hosted in high-quality data centres. Talk2M provides simple user management with user access levels and the option for two-step authentication, as well as full audit and traceability of all connections.

The free eCatcher software provides the link between the configuration PC

 and Talk2M, once connection is made to the eWON via Talk2M the user experience is as if you were connected to the machine LAN via a physical Ethernet cable. Remote access is possible to all devices utilising Ethernet or PROFINET including SIMATIC S7,SIMATIC HMI, SIMOTION and SINAMICS G and SINAMICS S. Configuration tools such as SIMATIC Manager, TIA Portal and SIMOTION Scout are all compatible with eWON and Talk2M.
